Events, Meetups & Assumption of Risk
BeApp includes features that let you discover, create, host, and attend events, gatherings, and meetups, and to connect and communicate with other people. Many events are organised by other users, independent hosts, or venues who are not BeApp. BeApp does not host, organise, run, supervise, sponsor, or control these events, and is not a party to any arrangement, interaction, or transaction between you and any host, venue, attendee, or other user.
We do not screen, vet, interview, or carry out background or identity checks on hosts, venues, attendees, or any other users, and we make no representation or warranty about the identity, conduct, character, safety, suitability, or legality of any event, host, venue, or person you may encounter through BeApp.
You attend events and meet, communicate with, and interact with other people entirely at your own risk and on your own responsibility. You alone are responsible for your personal safety and for every decision you make before, during, and after any event or meeting — including whether to attend, whom to meet, where to go, how you travel, and what information about yourself you choose to share.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, BeApp and its owners, directors, officers, employees, agents, and partners will not be liable for, and you release them from, any claim, demand, injury, death, loss, damage, theft, illness, distress, harassment, abuse, assault, or other harm of any kind — whether physical, emotional, or financial — arising out of or in any way connected with any event, meetup, or venue, or with your interactions with any host, attendee, or other user, whether caused by the conduct of another person, a venue, a third party, or otherwise. Attendance and participation are at your sole risk.
Your safety matters to us, so please take sensible precautions: meet in public places, tell someone you trust where you are going and who you are meeting, arrange your own transport, keep your personal and financial details private, stay aware of your surroundings, and leave immediately if you ever feel unsafe or uncomfortable. Never send money to, or share financial information with, anyone you meet through the app. If you believe you are in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services.
This section adds to, and does not limit, the other disclaimers and limitations of liability set out in these Terms.
