How to Start an Online Business with No Money Today

Transcript: hey what’s going on so in this video we’re gonna cover five different businesses that you can operate primarily online in this coming year now some of these are gonna be businesses that are more home-based while others on this list are gonna be that type of business where you can operate from anywhere in the world you could be in Paris you could be in Berlin you could be in Mexico City it doesn’t matter where you are in the world you can make money through some of these businesses while like I said others might be a little bit more home-based so let’s get into this video don’t think there will be something on this list for everyone so number five is by starting your own subscription box now this is something that I’ve seen really emerging in the past few years especially and that is by operating your own subscription box service so just to give you a couple examples of this Dollar Shave Club this is not an advertisement for Dollar Shave Club but they have a very interesting business model where they have box subscription services where every month people who subscribe to Dollar Shave Club are going to get razors maybe some other shaving materials within a box and they’re going to get that in the mail every month or at least I believe that’s how it works I don’t actually have Dollar Shave Club or you can look at Tai Lopez if you’re familiar with Tai Lopez and his mentor box that he’s always talking about this is where he’ll send you multiple books and different packets and papers every single month in the mail and then you can you know read through all these materials and gain a lot of knowledge through that subscription box of Mentor box so what you can do here is find a niche that hasn’t really been tapped into and then create your own box for this and now there are a lot of boxes out there already but there are still plenty of areas where they haven’t really been fully tapped into so for example you could think of anything maybe a coffee box where people get multiple bags of coffee every single month and get different coffee beans from different places in the world every month and I’m not gonna lie it’s pretty fun to get something in the mail every month and you’re excited to see what it is you open it up and it’s different types of coffee or maybe it’s pet treats for your dog or or there’s so many possibilities – but I thought it’d be cool to included in this list and you can really expand this and think about so many different thousands of different ideas behind these subscription services but you can really squeeze a lot of money out of a customer I shouldn’t say squeeze it’s not bad but you can really get a lot of money out of because this is a a monthly subscription and some of these people are gonna have these subscriptions for years to come now the next one is something that you can primarily operate remotely online but sometimes you will have to actually mean with clients and that is by starting your own social media marketing agency or your own social media management firm and so what you can do with this you can actually market people’s products with especially with Facebook advertising a lot of businesses they just don’t know how to actually reach customers and generate liens and so you can do this yourself you can reach out to them you can cold call them you can email them but when I found best is actually going out in person and talking to some businesses which kind of defeats all purpose of this video but once you get some clients then you can actually do most of the work remotely so you can generate leads for them remotely and unless you’re doing some video production and you’re really in there talking them a lot you can do a lot of this from your own home or even a couple hundred miles away at sometimes like what I do because I went into my chiropractor last year got talking to him I told my was a marketing major he asked me how to market his products and then lo and behold somehow I ended up generating leads for him and actually getting contract with him and generating leads for him just by talking to him and having small talk that ended up into an actual business opportunity which is how I ended up starting obr media so if you don’t want to start a marketing agency you could just manage social media pages for other businesses who might want some help growing their pages or maybe they’re not able to post a lot of pictures all the time not able to respond to comments and concerns of customers through their Facebook page or their Instagram or their YouTube channel and so you can do that for them as well and manage those pages for them for a certain amount of money per month number three is to start your own clothing brand now this is something that a lot of people find themselves failing in and there’s a big reason for that so we’re gonna get into in just a second here but it seems as though everybody and their brothers trying to start their own clothing brand and that’s because people really overestimate the desire for somebody’s brand who nobody really gives a crap about because it doesn’t mean anything to them but if you can operate this and you can grow this at the right level that’s when you can really see a lot of success so for example you could look something like supreme or bathing ape or some of these different brands and that will sell 500 dollars for a single t-shirt and they kind of scratch ahead and and wonder how this is possible these pee well did some serious branding and it’s working very well for them somebody like Brett Conti just some guy from New York who ended up starting fortune New York and has a very very successful clothing brand and the reason for that is because they focused on one specific target market and we’ve talked about this in the past but if you want to start a clothing brand you can do it and you can succeed in many people do succeed in starting their own clothing brands but you have to focus on one specific target market so maybe that’s gonna be college fraternity guys or maybe that’s gonna be people who love boats or maybe it’s going to be people who own Chihuahuas and so somebody very specific that you can market your products to and that’s how you can create a very successful clothing brand and then maybe after time you can branch out but you want to have a very focused audience at first with a clothing brand and the reason why we’re putting it on this list is because nowadays now that we’re in 2018 a lot of these different clothing brands can be operated almost entirely online so you can actually dropship these products which means that you can not have to physically make the t-shirts you can get somebody else to make the clothing for you and then they ship it out for you and you just operate your own website baby you can do this through something like Shopify or teespring and you can do this entirely remotely from anywhere in the world okay now there’s two more on this list number two is something that I never have talked about on this channel and to be honest with you that’s because I really still am considering this as a business idea for myself but I think I’m just gonna throw it out here for everyone just to enjoy and maybe you won’t agree with it maybe I’ll think it’s a stupid idea but it’s something that I’ve never really heard anybody talking about and I want to share with you to maybe give somebody at least one person who’s watching this video some idea that they might want to run with in the future and so there’s kind of a back story behind this but essentially what you can do is convert old VHS tapes and old family videos into a digital format so a lot of people have these old family videos from the 90s and the early 2000s on on these old tapes and they want to preserve these they want to keep these and they want to watch them on the laptop instead of having to pull out the old VHS player and which they probably don’t even have so they want to be able to watch these videos and my dad actually called me up last year he said hey male I’m trying to convert these videos I went down to CBS or he went down to the the camera store and they said that’ll be $35 per tape for 40 tapes that’s over a thousand dollars to convert these tapes and and he was just just absolutely taken aback by this price and when I heard that price I thought oh my god but wait a minute wait a minute how hard is it actually do this and so I looked into it it’s not hard to convert these tapes you just need an old VHS player a converter a laptop not many materials are involved in order to do this and so you can actually operate this business and this is pretty theoretical I do know that there are businesses out there who do this but I never looked into it too much but I thought I would include it in this list because it’s something interesting where you can actually market this service to people through Facebook advertising through advertising on Google and then you can market these products to people maybe baby boomers maybe people who are getting older and they have these old tapes of their kids and they want to watch those tapes but they can’t because they don’t have a VHS player you can market to them and then they can send you their tapes and you can convert them or you can find some other ways to do this but I just thought it’s very interesting not included in this list now there’s one more on this list that you can do from anywhere in the world so it’s not necessarily a home-based business you can do this from quite literally anywhere as long as you have a Wi-Fi connection and that is by starting your own affiliate marketing business so so if you’re familiar with John Kriss Tommy he’s generated over five million dollars per year in affiliate revenues he’s pretty famous within the affiliate marketing realm and I’m actually enough on this channel to discuss with you guys how he’s actually able to do this and generate millions of dollars per year by marketing people’s products for them so that’s what affiliate marketing is you’re marketing products for people you can do this through your own product reviews you can even make youtube videos and review products or you can do this through paid advertising which is a lot of what he did through Clickbank he did a lot of paid advertising and he marketed a lot of other people’s products and made a lot of money from them so we’re gonna have on this channel at some point in the future in order to discuss that but that wraps up this video five different business ideas that you can operate from your home or some of these from anywhere in the world in order to make some money in this coming year if you found the video example is window Express I realized I have a problem that I still make mistakes in my written English my team build a platform where we on-boarded native speakers who cracked the text in real-time and this way I allowed native speakers to make money and I sold the problem sub build a platform and yes because we had a tech team because we knew how to build those products we did it pretty fast like three or four months but we’ve built a platform before the platform we were trip and I think the second type of business is when you can target like billions of dollars uber is the platform where you come in my YouTube it’s a platform where creators can create Instagram like all in the social media all kinds of marketplaces is that kind of business but I would always advise people to start with business number one like mastering skills scaling it and then go into the second type of business cuz it’s crucial to try doing something yourself first okay idea number one I’m gonna talk from my own experience I already mentioned that I’ve launched a course I launched it in 2018 so I went back to Russia to visit my family and I met a couple bloggers like Russian loggers 100,000 subscribers in Instagram and I’m asking them how do you guys make money and the girl answer is oh you know I teach people how to start an Instagram I’m like but you only have a hundred case she’s like whatever there is so many people who wanted to become a blogger so I just teach them that and I’m like how much money do you make if you don’t mind me asking she’s like um five thousand dollars of course and I’m like how many courses are you doing then she’s like minimum two and I’m like wow that’s a lot of money so listen to her and I’m surprised that people take so much money on just like online tutoring and I’m like why don’t I launch a three-hour webinar on how to start YouTube and it made a lot of money like basically ten thousand dollars or more and I’m like wow this is a huge niche even if you don’t have a little following because I only launched that course and my Instagram so I only announce it to the public on my Instagram I was still able to make that much money so idea number one if you’ve mastered a skill already and you are willing to share it with other people start an online course there’s so many resources out there that you can use so go ahead and do it number two you’re like Burley marinas gonna just talk about blogging no I’m gonna talk about things you can do tomorrow it’s actually a huge market and it’s growing because people have less and less time to take care of their homes and the skills called cleaning like it took me a month to find a good cleaner here in San Francisco and I finally found a girl who’s really good a really professional she charges 120 dollars to clean it 2-bedroom apartment and it takes her three hours to do that so she charges like 40 dollars an hour which is like a developer charges that money and we used to have a start-up a cold homejoy where you could hire people online to clean your apartment or office but they shut down so there is so much demand for a good cleaner and I keep hearing people asking for that so this is something where you can start make some initial capital and then decide whether you want to grow there and start your own company like help people find cleaners or maybe just go and switch activity but with initial capital which is great business number three also one of my friends is doing that you’ve probably seen me wearing a golden moisturizing mask on my Instagram this is done by my friend who’s actually in tech he’s not an Amazon professional but this is what he’s done he went to South Korea visited some factories where he’s found really good moisturizing face masks and bought them for like a dollar and then he came back to America has shipped all of the masks and he’s selling them for him like $16 a mask on Amazon and what’s cool about selling on Amazon you don’t have to have your own garage where you store everything and you don’t have to ship everything you just send it to Amazon and they do the rest and your task is just to sell and collect reviews that’s it and yeah he’s making a lot of money on those masks he’s still doing he’s been doing that for over a year he’s pretty successful it’s like a good business because he’s running a tech company and this is something you could totally try the next business meal trap and delivery oh my god again huge problem here in San Francisco huge problem anywhere I missed homemade food I cannot make my mom come prima st. Petersburg to San Francisco and cook for me but I miss homemade food a lot and I would love to invite a person to come to my place every three days to cook me a big pot of soup and maybe like fry some meat or whatever there’s just no such service so you could start again you could start in your own do some cooking and then grow your network grow your network cooker is growing network of clients and build something on top of that I think it’s a great idea with a lot of potential I can people don’t have time to even go to a restaurant because you have to wait the next one is surprising but it’s actually trending like crazy here in Silicon Valley which means it’s gonna trend all over the place it’s bike rentals and scooters the scooter business started in 2018 they had a lot of problems with law and regulations but two companies survived they have both acquired I think they’ve got a quiet for like over a billion dollars and they raised like 200 million acquired by like taxi companies but guess what if you’re setting like a small shop renting out scooters or branding of bikes the market itself has grown 73 percent in the last 10 years so if you have two options in the future you either grow profitable business which is growing or second you get acquired by the company which is also a great option you get your money and you’re free another business personal trainers and instructors and again with online you have so many opportunities to train people all over the world and this marathon I baked like $49 for it which is like a but marathon I’m training every day for like half an hour and the girl was doing that she just pre-recorded all the courses she’s not even there I’m just switching on her videos and she recorded like 35 videos and I love to Train like that because I choose my own time we have a gym here at home and this is a huge future for all of your fitness trainers chimra is a great company which does all of the pre-recorded courses and it’s a huge trend here in Silicon Valley as well because people don’t have time to come into their fitness they just do a quick workout in the morning at home using a screen so fitness instructors yes you can build your audience with like real life training but you can also go online and do your own course and make a lot of money and the last but not the least cpa accounting i cannot do my books while i could potentially but i know i’m gonna make so many mistakes and probably miss some things that would allow me to save on taxes so i’ve been shopping for a CPA for a couple of weeks in 2018 my assistant helped me a lot and we found a guy who’s working with creators but that’s a huge market it doesn’t matter that there’s so much software out there that helps you optimize and divide your expenses by categories because real CPA knows all of the laws that will help you save on taxes and that’s why there is a huge demand for CPAs but no matter what you do no matter what kind of business you choose to start in 2019 what you really really need is your leadership skills because it doesn’t matter how profitable the niche is if you cannot convince your buyers that you’re the best seller if you cannot convince people that you’re a real expert then nothing’s gonna work you have to show credibility you have to create a great product and you have to talk in a way that people want to buy from you and I’ve found a great course we just called influencer mastering life’s most powerful skill and I agree with it so so much it is started by a PhD by a real American I think Americans are the best at influencing people just you know all of the movies that we see if probably from Hollywood all the music that we love is stuff like mostly from America so Americans are really good at influencing people and I think the best place to learn influences from an American PhD I love how online education is evolving and how you can learn from the best professionals in the industry great courses plus
